We celebrate 4th November as Dfc Day. Dfc_india (DIABETIC FOOT CLINIC) completes 17 years today. With renewed vigour let us all pledge to prevent Gangrene and Amputations by simple measures and by creating awareness.

Dr Tushar D Rege (Dfc_india) Mumbai, Maharashtra in collaboration with Dr Suri IPA held a Foot Examination Camp at Mumbai on occasion of National Feet Day on 17th August 2021.

Garware Charitable Trust donated high end equipment to Dfc_India (DIABETIC FOOT CLINIC) specially to reach out to the needy. A simple launch function was held on occasion of WORLD DIABETES DAY… 14th November 2018.

This is a salute to the philanthropy of the Garwares… to extend a helping hand so that medical aid can reach the poor people. It must be remembered that Diabetes is no longer a disease of the affluent and affects all strata of the society.

Dr.Tushar Rege delivered a lecture on *”Challenges in the Management of Diabetic Foot”* at the Pune Surgical Society on 23/6/18 Around 60 surgeons and postgraduates attended. An endeavour towards spreading awareness in Diabetic Foot management.

Diabetic foot clinic along with Industrial medical association Lote, Lavel organised an awareness program and camp at Adarsh kendra shala Lote, Chiplun on 21st Jan 2018. People were screened for blood sugar and foot problems related to Diabetes and were counselled to prevent the same.

Diabetic foot clinic along with Dev foundation conducted Diabetic foot awareness program n foot check up at Kherwadi, Bandra East on Sunday 7th January 2018.More than 100 people were screened for fasting sugars and foot.

Diabetic Foot Clinic conducted Diabetic foot awareness program and foot check up camp at K.E.C Chandrakant Hari Keluskar Homeopathic Medical College and hospital Alibaug on 10th December 2017. People were screened for foot problems by DFC team.

Dr Tushar D Rege delivered a talk on “WHAT IS DIABETIC FOOT” at Bhivandi, Maharashtra, India. This was a well attended programme arranged by PARIVARTAN, an organisation addressing health issues. Dr Rege dealt with a variety of problems related to the Foot in Diabetes and outlined measures to prevent amputations. Dr Alka Deshpande, eminent teacher and a Padmashree awardee also spoke on woman issues. Such talks and symposia go a long way in spreading awareness about Foot problems in Diabetics and a step towards amputation prevention.

A talk by Dr. Tushar Rege for the general public held at S L Raheja Fortis Hospital, Mahim. The aim was to create awareness about DIABETIC FOOT so as to prevent amputations.
